Fast growing hardy rainbow trout fingerlings
are available year round. All sizes available including the most
requested 6" - 8" and 8" - 10" sizes. Delivery can be arranged
for large orders. Small orders can be picked up and will be placed in plastic bags
with oxygen and are good for several hours of travel.

Any pond or lake that is either spring fed or deeper than 20 feet will
hold trout. Fish are best transferred when water temperatures are below 70 degrees F
and the closer to 50 degrees the better as a result most stocking is done from October to
June. |

Speckled trout
with genetics from the famous Lake Nipigon coaster brookies are also available.
Speckles don't live quite as long as rainbows (about 5 years compared to 8 years), nor get
quite so big. Nevertheless, we stock many thousand of these colourful fish every
year. Males turn a brilliant crimson during the fall. Both speckles and
rainbows are produced from our own genetically superior broodstock which spawn in the
fall. |

Eggs are laid out in hatching baskets and meticulously cared for.
Upon
hatching, young fry will be looking for food about two weeks after their yolk sacs are
absorbed. |
